Aneurin Jones was known for his depiction of of the people, livestock and landscape of mid Wales, capturing the everyday life of the people around him. His paintings are an important record of his generation and the way they lived.
Aneurin was born on the Brecon/Camarthenshire boarder and studied Fine Art at Swansea Collage of Art from 1950-1955. He later worked as a teacher becoming Head of Art at Ysgol Y Prseli until 1986. Over the Years Aneurin won many awards for his work and exhibited regularly at the National Eisteddfod of Wales. His work is held in many public and private collections around the world.
