About this painting.
This is a wonderful example of Elwyn’s more direct but abstract representations of the Cardiganshire landscape, at this time Elwyn was unsure of where he fitted into the current art scene of wales and it is noted in the book ‘John Elwyn’ by Robert Meyrick

The painting is in its original frame and is signed on the back of the canvas ‘John Elwyn 1977’ as well as the signature on the painting.
