About this painting:
John mentions his time in Lichfield in 1995 in his autobiography ‘My life- all the little things’.
He says:
‘ 1995 found me in Lichfield where i was Artist in Residence, for the Festival at the Cathedral – I had done a few watercolours earlier of the somewhat flat uninspiring countryside in the vicinity and also of the cathedral which was inspiring with its four spires.’
